Well Visit

I had my 18 mo. well visit today (yes, I'm 19 months)...

34 inches long - apparently tall for my age (didn't catch the %)
25 pounds, 2 ounces (50%)
normal head

The dr said I looked good, and no shots today - Woohoo!

Hair

My hair is a work in progress. I don't have a lot of it just yet, so we do what we can with it.

Today, however, I have suddenly decided that whatever Willow has in her hair, I need in mine. The difference of course is that Willow has a lot of long hair.

First I wanted the clips in Willow's hair... so Mommy got Willow different clips and gave me the ones from her hairdo (because they were more age appropriate - Willow ended up with Tinkerbell clips, so don't feel bad for her).

Then Mommy gave Willow a fancy ponytail too... so I wanted one... Did I mention I don't have enough hair?

So for right now, I've got a giant butterfly ponytail holder thing in the back.

I'm very pleased.

Me!

my plumage in rare form...

i'm much friendlier for the camera now - i'll say cheese, give a smile, and actually hold still... go me!

with such a cute little face, you'd never guess that my new favorite word is "mine"...

Sleep

I've been sleeping pretty well for awhile now - I managed to get through my last teething episode relatively unscathed...

but last night was a doozy. man...

i've been cutting my eye teeth now for almost a week - a little extra whiny, chomping on my hand - you know, the usual..

but last night, i was half-awake for about 2 hours... laying in bed moaning - not too loudly - just loudly enough.

mommy's 99% sure it was because of my teeth - she would come in and rub my gums and I would quiet down... occasionally i got orajel... but you can only do so many tooth drugs when you're my size.

I did eventually settle down and sleep... not quite as late as mommy would have liked... but I did sleep.

When mommy got me up this morning, I gave her a particularly toothy looking grin.

I've just got a few teeth left... I can make it!

Updates

There's been a lot going on - grandparents were here over the course of the Christmas break - I enjoyed lots of attention from everyone. I can say Willow pretty well now, and am getting some more words... but still, it's mainly grunts and squeals. Mommy often refers to me as a "shrieking eel"...

I love running around... a lot... exercise is very important to me.

I'm still really into puppies. Real ones, stuffed animal ones, you name it...

I got some nice loot at Christmas - a special baby doll, some stuffed animal puppies, and of course I get to enjoy Willow's loot too - which included several movies.

Mommy and Daddy took a couple of trips this last month, but I did well, and really didn't care that they were gone at all. Watching movies helped apparently... I ask for nemo all the time now. Mommy does not oblige me.

I'm, surprise surprise, cutting some more teeth - seems to be the eye teeth this time around. It's not quite as dramatic as getting my molars, but it's not fun either.

And as long as I have my tiger and pacifier, I'm sleeping pretty well. Ahh, sweet sweet tiger.
