The Shore 2008

Last year at the shore, I was only 3 weeks old, so I didn't get to do a whole lot of stuff. This year, however, I was a fearless curiosity machine... when I was on the beach, I ran for the ocean. When I was on the boardwalk, I ran just to run. When I was in the beach house, I ran around the room. Pretty much, unless i was sleeping, I moved the whole time.

1 Yr Checkup

No pictures right now - may be awhile before Mommy gets them up...

had my 1 yr well visit today...

weight: 21 lbs 9 oz - 53%
height: 2 ft 6 in - 83%

I had 3 shots - YUCK! But I got to be in the ergo with daddy while I got them, so that helped a lot. The NP we saw today said she has an ergo for her baby too.

Mommy asked about getting a lead test since we live in an old house and i lick everything and put everything in my mouth... so we went right downstairs for it. The blood lady was really nice, but i did NOT enjoy a tourniquet on my arm at all - again, I was in the ergo for this. And apparently, I'm just like mommy in that I have no veins at all - I ended up having to have it drawn from my hand - just like mommy. I was SO sad and pitiful.

But - I'm healthy. The NP encouraged weaning more to the cup, and drinking less milk (or soy milk in my case) and eating more food so I bulk up a little. I'm a lean mean pooping machine, so it doesn't stay with me too long :)

So let the weaning begin!
