More on Food

So today, in my quest to not eat like a baby, I decided the only way I would eat my banana is if mommy put a little bite on my gerber spork and set it on my tray. Then, i'd pick up my spork and feed myself...after a few times, i even started handing the spork back to mommy so she could reload it for me. What fun!

Eating

I'm pretty much done with baby food now. I like to chew. In fact, when mommy gives me baby food, I push it out with my tongue, grab it with my fingers, and start playing with it.

However, if i'm given something with some good chewing texture to it, I chow down big time.

Oh Boy

As I reached up on my tippy toes to get at the front door knob, mommy had a moment of fear that i'm going to be one of those kids who tries to break free from the house at 2am... i foresee bells and alarms in my future.

Little Imp

As in, I'm a little imp. In 3 1/2 years, my well-behaved sister as never tried to open the candle cabinet. Tonight, I did, tho' quite by accident. However, I was so intrigued, that I figured it out again and again, until finally mommy had to kick me (not literally) out of the office... after all, there's TONS of breakable and non-digestable stuff in there. Weee!

The Zoo

Here's a couple of pics of me at the zoo... it was also my first time wearing sunscreen! my skin seemed to do okay with it...so mommy's going to give me a little more sun freedom (provided i'm appropriately sunscreened and attired)...which is good, since you know, i'm going to the shore...not to mention tx... this summer.




in other news, i can climb up in one of willow's little chairs. mommy was "surprised" by this... meaning she wasn't looking at me when it happened...but, fortunately, the chair was up against something so it wouldn't tip over.

Soccer Dreams

So I'm totally kicking a ball across the floor...with ease. In fact (and I know you're not supposed to compare on these kinds of things, but just to give you an idea), I kick a ball better than Willow does right now! Kristine said she'll be my soccer mentor (well, she said it in so many words. i know what she means).

So yeah, I've got some mad physical skills right now.

Food!

mmm. ... meshy goodness.

if this thing actually cleans up decently without a dishwasher, i will be enjoying lots of things in the very near future. $2 at wal-mart.

11 Months Old

If it weren't month 11 of the picture taking for the first year, Mommy might just throw in the towel. I'm just too busy trying to do other things than to be bothered with sitting still... and combine that with what seems to be a 10 second shutter speed on mommy's camera, and you've got a perfect storm of orneriness.

New Duds

so life... pretty much I never stop moving. EVER. I love to chase Willow around and to play with her. I love to put pretty much every thing in my mouth - any little speck of dirt or crud, I'll find it and check it out with my tastebuds.

i'm still a champ with the eating - mainly now, when i get frustrated, it's because i want to feed myself...sometimes making for a messy mealtime...

I'm almost 11 months old - eek! I got my first swimsuit recently from Paka and Grammy - I can't wait till it's time for the shore! Yay! I'll actually enjoy it this year as i was only a few weeks old the last time i was there.

I seem to be contstantly teething, but still only have those 2 bottom teeth. Mommy hopes that I'll just get a full set all at once and be done with it. haha.

The Playground

We went back to the awesome playground - this time with Daddy. Yay!
