An Update

Life continues to peddle along. Thanksgiving was great - I got to spend time with Paka and Grammy... or "caca and mammy" as it comes out right now. We're working on that.

I was most unobliging when Mommy tried to take my picture for our Christmas card... so Aunt Connie had to get extra creative this year. You'll see that soon enough.

I'm still really into puppies. I mean, I LOVE them. I also love to "talk" on the "phone" and have long conversations while I wander around.

Babies are still at the top of my list too. Babies in strollers...babies in backpacks...babies in too-small toy car seats...

So far I've been a good girl and haven't attacked the Christmas tree...and I've only pulled the (un-lit) advent candles off the table once. Judging from Mommy's reaction on that one, I will probably not be trying that one again.

All in all, life is good.

This and That

Here I am waiting for my first dentist appointment. We had to wait almost an hour...which TOTALLY stunk... but other than that it was great. Every one was so nice, and I did a pretty good job for my first check up. No cavities!

I'm super into doing the buckles on my booster seat. I mean BIG time. It's better than trying to climb into and falling... but still... ALL THE TIME... skills... I'm getting skills...

Lately, when Mommy asks to take my picture, I go and stand in front of the bathroom door. Then, I actually stand still for the picture! Amazing! I'm getting some lessons in the art of posing for pictures from Willow... I think I look like a rock star in this picture. or a granola... either way, i'm cool stuff man... cool stuff.

hey look... there's Willow. Whenever I get my picture taken, she pops on over and joins in...

and this is my snazzy new winter coat from Target... and look, it's purple. shocking, i know.

Modeling Moments

These are from our outing last month to Linvilla with friends... Matt Wright took these pictures...

Precious Moments

I know some words and signs, but mainly i like to communicate with grunts and yells... like in this picture...

hassling my sister is a favorite past-time... around these parts, i'm known as Rose The Destroyer...

an obliging moment for the camera...

what i'm like a lot of the time - i've reached that stage when i get frustrated when people don't understand what i want... FUN!

my favorite past-time (besides hassling Willow and yelling at mommy) is doing the buckle on my seat, and climbing in and out of it...

Potty Time!

Mommy sat me on the potty today and said "poo poo". We grunted together. Nothing happened this time, but I thought it was pretty neat. I also enjoyed trying to crawl inside it. Mommy said that was gross and wouldn't let me.

We're going to leave my little potty in the downstairs bathroom (also serves nicely as a footstool for Willow to wash her hands at the sink)... so we'll see where this goes... if anywhere :)

15 Month Well Visit

Well, I'm actually 16 months, but whatever...

Height: 31 3/4" (50-75%)
Weight: 24.6 pounds (50-75%)
Head: 90% (uh-oh! i'm becoming a carr head...haha)

Overall healthy.

Had 3 shots today, cried for like 5 seconds, and then I was fine.

I was SUPER active and SUPER wiggly the whole time, and when it was all through, the 3 of us were sweaty and tired.

My M.O.

We'll be going about our business playing, and then Willow will announce to Mommy that she smells poop - "I smell poop! Change her!"

So then Mommy will ask me if I pooped, and I respond by running and hiding behind something.

In the meantime, Mommy gets her poop supplies together and goes over to the couch, then she calls to me "Ro-ose, come here, let's clean up your poop".

I run and hide somewhere else.

Then Mommy sends Willow to get me and she walks me over to where Mommy is.

Finally, the poop is taken care of.

Scenes from Yesterday

Granny made me a poncho just like Willow's, only pink...

Daddy cut my bangs - we're lucky I still have my eyeballs - not because of Daddy's aim, but because of my extreme wiggliness...

Willow and I striking a pose before heading outside to enjoy the firepit...

hanging out on a lovely fall evening...

Hats

I like wearing hats right now... not necessarily for long periods of time, but more as a fashion statement...

Fall Pics at Linvilla

A beautiful fall day today at Linvilla. I was a little tired because of a too-short nap, but generally I enjoyed running around and even humored a few pictures being taken.

Daddy was going to cut my bangs after lunch today, but I fell asleep in my chair, so it was straight to bed...

Squishy Goodness

Mommy got me some cheap house shoes from Wal-Mart - the kind with a foamy squishy bottom to them, and I totally love them! I've also managed to not slip and fall too much. :)

Ahh...

I'm cutting at least 4 teeth right now - 2 of which are molars... so at least there's an explanation for my EXTREME tootness and sleep issues these last few nights.

Fun times indeed!

Linvilla

One of the perks to Willow being in school is that i get some one-on-one time with Mommy. Today, we joined some friends at Linvilla Orchards... no pumpkin pics today, but I had lots of fun running around, climbing, etc...

I stared at these roosters and other birds FOREVER. They were, apparently, very interesting to me.
